On a TR4, even the driveshaft remains the same.  The non-OD gearbox is a
direct replacement, same length, rear mount, output flange and everything as
the A-type OD gearbox.  The only other thing would be the shorter speedo
cable.

As others have said, easiest (and best, IMO) is a swap of the complete
gearbox.  If you do want to convert your existing gearbox, you'll need the
right mainshaft and the non-OD tail housing with it's bearing and seal.  The
conversion itself isn't too hard, but it does require a complete tear-down
of the gearbox.  It would also be a shame to separate the top cover with the
lockout switches from the OD itself, so you should probably plan on changing
it too ... but the OD cover will work fine on a non-OD box.  Either leave
the switches in place to plug the holes, or get some of the plugs from a
TR2/3.
