Hi List!
Well I'm finally getting to writing the follow through on my
question asked 3 wk. ago: What's best way to store the carb for long
periods of time?
I made a siphoning tool using a "T" fitting, hose, & my old blowgun.
I undid the float bowel covers & sucked the 'VERY' little fuel that was
left [One reply stated that this is what would happened, & he was
right.], by using my home made tool. [One reply was to use a rag to
absorb the petrol out. I then followed using a good blow gun to air dry
the inside of the bowels. reversed for installation.
I never did mentioned that the last time I ran the carbs, fuel
stabilizer was used to prevent gum build up. Time will tell if this has
helped. BTW- Thanks people who answered to my question of 'Hole in
Tranny Cover?'. I will work on that next week & will post results, too.
