Hi George & Greg
I'm a firm believer in oil spraying cars (using a reputable company, not the
cheap used-motor-oil people). My 1988 non-LBC has been sprayed every year
and shows very little rusting underneath, despite living in the Toronto
salt-belt, not washing the car much, and parking in an attached garage,
which is supposed to be deadly due to the warmer temperature. (Hey - the
wife doesn't like frigid car seats ;-). The beauty of oil-spray is that it
will seep into the crevices, and even if some corrosion has started, it will
seal it again.

FWIW, I've used Krown (NFI). I have my Mini done every 2nd year as a
precaution, although it doesn't see winter.

Park on a plastic sheet for awhile because it will drip oil (more than usual
;-).
