Joe:
You might try this....
"Using jumper cables, connect one cable from "ground to ground" (battery to
starter body) and the other cable to the "hot" side of the battery then
"touch"- DO NOT CONNECT- the cable to the "hot wire" lug on the starter. It
should spin like a banshee if the starter is good."
