Al,

There must have been something in the air last weekend.....I lost my low
(dip) beams in the Spit Friday night on the way back to the hotel from the
campsite....I had high beams and flash-to-pass so I suspected a faulty column
switch.....I cut & spliced the proper wires for a temporary fix. When I got
home I removed and examined the switch....the contact button for the dip beam
side was simply gone...not there! Fortunately, my original TR6 dip switch
still works (after a few shots of contact cleaner).....it fits and works
fine.....that supports my feeling - never throw anything away:)
