Hi Randall et al .

A bit late , but I found an original TR 3 road test article dated 11 January
1957 that was published in The Autocar . It concerns a RHD small mouth and
they show a nice drawing of the dash layout .

Switches indicated as follow :
Top row : Far right , nearest to door : Overdrive and next to it ( nearest
to steering wheel : Heater fan .
Bottom row : Far right , nearest to door ( underneath Overdrive ) : Long
range lamp , and next to it ( underneath heater fan ) : Fog lamp and next to
it ( nearest to steering wheel ) : Screen washer .

So according to this picture the configuration would be something like this

 00
000

Hope it makes sense :-)

Now I have the layout for a RHD TR 3 , I just need to find the Long range
lamp switch + knob , The fog lamp switch + knob and The screenwasher pump +
knob .

The screenwasher pump ( Trafalgar ) and correct knob seems a bit difficult
to track down , but I may consider using a Spitfire screenwasher pump (
TuDor ) and making my own knob based on TeriAnn's picture .

On a LHD car, there should be two small holes to the left of the steering
wheel, the heater control goes in the inboard of those two holes. The OD
switch goes in the outer hole. Supposedly, cars without the options had the
holes, but they were left covered with vinyl. All of mine have had the
holes (even the car without a factory heater), but I've heard some dashes
were lacking the OD hole.

On a LHD 59, the speedo should be on the right. It was moved there so the
passenger could see the odometer during rallies. The washer pump is what
goes in the triangle between the ammeter (which should be on the lower right
on a LHD car) and the glovebox door. TeriAnn Wakeman has kindly posted a
