Listee's,

I know this is purely a random sample but "it" happened again yesterday at a
local Brit car show......two nicely restored TR3's, parked side-by-side under
shady maple trees suddenly commanded the attention of two attractive women.
Within nanoseconds, the TR3's proud owners (2 of our club guys), who were
lounging nearby sipping a cold "Coca Cola", bolted from their chairs and
gently (albeit maybe a bit hastily) approached the ladies with a warm hello
and offers to answer ANY questions they may have (isn't this a great
hobby!!??).

Now, the same "thing" happened to these guys last summer at another show so
I'm wondering.....is this a sidescreen thing? Is it the color red? Sure,
I've had many women comment on how cute my Spitfire is (actually they were
all under 12) but I've never had any serious conversations with women
onlookers about the Spitfire. Interesting......I would have thought the
opposite since a great portion of British Leyland's advertising budget for
the Spitfire in the 60's and 70's was aimed toward the female market so one
would think that might be an advantage!!??

Just a little LBC humor to start your week......

Cheers,

Chip
