It showed a fluctuation between <1V and >16V, Cleaning the contacts and 
re-gapping to .016 did not change the reading. I guess this means the control 
box is shot.

This read a steady >14V, same as directly off the generator.

Battery still holding a charge at ~12.7V, even with starting/restarting, etc.
