Need some advice for fitting a rear valence. I bought it through TRF, it
has a sticker Made in England so I assume its a BMHIT product. The overall
length and height are right on, and the curve is pretty close (my car was
hit in a rear corner, so I can't tell which curve is off.) However, the
U-shaped channel for the boot seal is far too shallow on the replacement
valence than the matching channels on the tub. Perhaps 1/2" difference. I
can't see how to get these to line up without cutting up my replacement
panel and making my own channels (ugh.) The section of the channel I'm
trying to match is at the same horizontal level as the seam underneath the
taillight where the valence attaches to the rear inner fender.

I'd appreciate any advice, or even smartaleck humor, that may help my
attitude. Its 85 F out, sunny and dry, and I'm elbow deep in body work.
