Powder-coating a Ford oil pan for a neighbor and thought I'd share a sob story
about one bolt getting P/Ced.

# 1 remove bolt
# 2 blast bolt clean
# 3 preheat bolt @ 250 for 20 mins. to clean grease from pors
# 4 wash bolt in lacquer thinner to remove grease
# 5 use prep sol to remove lacquer thinner from bolt
# 6 use air & tack cloth to clean bolt
# 7 wrap bolt with 26 gauge wire for grnd & P/Cing
# 8 thread bolt into silcone cup to protect threads
# 9 hang bolt from shelf for coating
# 10 powder-coat bolt
# 11 bake bolt @ 400 for 20 mins.
# 12 remove bolt from oven and let dry
# 13 remove wire & silicone cup

Now this is just one bolt on a oil pan, multiply that by 16 washers and 16
bolts, so the next time someone says that's been P/Ced, you have a small idea
of how much work is really involved and thats just in one bolt. "FT"
