The Standard Ensign started out as a "linered-down" (1670cc), "more
economical" version of the Vanguard III. The Ensign model, later in 2138cc
single-carb form, has the dubious honor of being the last Standard-badged car
produced, May 1963, in England (Standard name did continue for some time in
India, for example). For those who care, that last car was a "Wedgwood blue
Standard Ensign De Luxe saloon...registered 2757KW...."
