Well thanks, Fred! But I could not have done it without (to steal a Beatles
line) "a little help from my friends".
John Lye lent me a set of main Jets for my Webers. Michael Porter twisted the
screws on the Webers to make it run. And the three main competitors
(John Lye, Bob Bownes and Mark Bradakis) decided to collect cones leaving the
door wide open for me to make a clean (if somewhat slower) run.
Everything came together to my benefit so I took advantage.
In short, I'd rather be lucky than good any day! :)
Finally, I am in the process of doing a massive conversion to Tiny Tim. Being
surplused in the conversion are the Engine and Gearbox along with
certain other performance pieces that go along with them. If anybody is
interested in a full race engine with a GT6 gearbox that has only 300 miles
on them, please inquire!!
