All the correct ways of painting have been mentioned except one, to guard
against "orange-peel" and get a good "flo-out" of the paint with a good deep
high gloss, the last coat should be applied 1/4 cup of paint, 1/4 cup dryer,
1/2 cup reducer, take the air pressure up to about 35/40 pounds and then
open the spray pattern on the gun for a full wide open fan, this is called
"fogging", hold the gun a little further away from the car than normal, good
gloss, good flow-out, keep the gun moving and do not over lap o runs will
appear, and lastly, use only one manufacturers product all the way through,
including, paint color, reducer, dryer etc, they are made to work together
and do the job right. "FT"
