Well, yeah. What was one of the greatest sellers in the old days? Sprite.
Just as cheap as little sedan. No bells and whistles. Just a plain
roadster.
These days the cheap cars are not RWD, though. So either a FWD car or a
mid-engine car made with econobox parts.
The marketers have it wrong, though. Even the Miata is too expensive. A
cheap, bare-bones car would sell in large numbers. But they want to make
more money per car, so the cars come loaded.
Somebody might want to bring back "Triumph". Won't matter to me. I won't
be able to afford anything they build.
