I can always tell immediately because gear oil is the only odor I have ever
encountered that causes me to instantly get violently ill to my stomach!
Just thinking about it causes me to....ahhhh...got to go!

I need to see if the oil coming from the flywheel inspection dust cover is
from the engine rear main or the main shaft seal on the trany. Can I put
dye in the trany oil to identify it as the offender. If so, how do I go
about it and what do I use?
