I didn't mean to insinuate that they were dirt cheap.  Only the $1296 VW
was truly cheap.  But a Porsche 911 cost $10,000 in 1970 and today they
run more like $65,000.  With BMW's name behind it I expect any "Triumph"
that hit's the showroom floor to run more than $30,000.  And I expect
it will be of poorer quality and last less time than the 79 Spit I currently
drive.  I, for one, will not be rushing down to my local BMW dealer to
grab the first one that comes in!!
