Dear Listers,
i have the following question and would appreciate your advice.
i am currently undertaking a frame-off resto on a 76 tr6. the car has
approximately 50k miles. i drove the car prior to beginning the resto
and mechanically, as far as i could tell, it worked fine.

* how does $2300 sound for a tranny and diff rebuild, converting my
non-overdrive tranny to an overdrive one, turnkey job? shop has
extensive experience in triumph rebuilds and owner currently has a
tr6 himself. the gentlemen says if i'm going this far, i might as
well have the 2 pieces re-done while they're out and easy to get to.

i'm having the engine done (slight tweaking) and am
replacing/rebuilding just about everything you can on the car. i'm
willing to pay this for peace of mind and an overdrive unit IF THIS IS A
FAIR PRICE!
        what say you listers?
