I put the block upside down in the back of my station wagon on some boards and assembled the engine up to the flywheel. I then mounted the holder from the engine stand to the rear plate. I jacked the back of the car until it was high enough to slide the stand on the bracket. When I lowered the car, the engine was on the stand. One person operation.
