All the talk about gas / exhaust fumes has led me to a suspicion that the oily / smeary / cloudy film that seems to appear on my trunk lid is the byproduct of my TR6's exhaust. To compound the problem, I have been running the car with an oil based lead substitute at the advice of a TR6 enthusiast/friend. Is this mysterious oily film the result of burning the lead substitute? Every now and then I get a whiff of my car's exhaust and it is reminiscent of a 2 cycle engine. Jack Radley 76TR6 CF57991U |
