Actually John no I wasn't unhappy that they attempted to deliver on
sunday. Its the ensuing *uckups that occurred that raised my ire. First
problem was I WAS home the whole day mostly watching football.
Second, the note said my neighbors weren't home either, however they
were. Third, he put down a bogus article number. Fourth, according to the
individual I talked to at the main post office he said they should have
attempted a delivery the next day even though it was a holiday but no
attempt was made, I know since I was also home the whole day and no
subsequent slip showed up my mailbox.

I don't make it a habit of sitting in my living room watching my mailbox on
sundays so I didn't see the truck stop and leave the note in the box.

I didn't really get upset by the delivery attempt fowl up. When I contacted
the post office again today to ask where the package was the lady on the
phone made it sound like I was lying to her about the article number. The
article number as listed on the form the driver filled out was
KAHLER68507GB. Don't get the impression I was getting nasty with them
because I wasn't. Up until the last phone call from the last guy today I was
still quite calm and actually thought the sequence of screw ups was quite
humorous. I had just been assuming that the carrier was carrying it around
with him waiting for me to get home from my trip. I was out of town
tuesday and wednesday. But when the mail came today he didn't know
anything about it.

Up to this point I've tried 3 different days and talked to about 5 different
people. When I suggested to one of the people that they contact the
delivery person from sunday she made it sound like there was no reason to.

Right now the main reason I'm frustrated is because the parts sent by
RevingtonTR were some Lucas lights that weren't just sitting on the shelf
and they weren't cheap. I don't know if they are NOS or new production. I
do know that no one else seems to have these lights available. I had felt
lucky for them to even find them. As it stands right now I don't have any
idea if I will even receive them now.

Now if you can tell me you've never vented steam in the same vein that I
did then then my hats off to you.

On the whole I am actually quite impressed with the performance of the
USPS. The "priority" mail service is exceptional for the ease and price. So if
I gave you, or anyone else for that matter, the impression that I was
unhappy with the USPS in general that wasn't my intention and I'm sorry.

It does appear however that a few bugs need to be worked out of their
"express" mail delivery techniques. Of all the carrier services I've used in
the last year, UPS, FED EX and the USPS. To date other than sunday, the
USPS is the only one that hasn't screwed up on a shipment. And I ship a
LOT of things USPS because its easier than running down the UPS office.

I hope this clears up the issue for you.
