Bud,

I found(stumbled is more like it) a perfect match for the wheel color on
my '74 TR6. I got it at Walmart for $2.97 a can. It is made by
Dupli-color and is called Cast Aluminum DE1650 engine paint. I bought
and used it on my valve cover(good results) and air filter cover(good
results) and exhaust manifold(still sticking after 1 month but looks a
little bit golden/cooked). I had my rear wheels(which had lots of
scratches but no significant rust) off the other day and decided to
paint them and the color matched perfectly to the center hub covers.
The paint is heat rated so it should withstand brake generated heat. I
used half a can(3 light coats on outside of rim only) to do 2 wheels.

Tip-Always heat up spray cans before using them as it makes for a good
spray pressure and mixture of propellant and paint. I usually set a can
on a shop light(100 watt bulb) for 3 or 4 minutes until the can is
warm(you mileage may vary). Don't walk off and forget it as I'm sure it
'could' explode of left there. After it is warm, shake it up and use as
you normally would.

Please pass this on to the list Bud.
