There should NOT be any measurable difference in width between the two;
they should be interchangeable. The only other noticeable differences in
any of the front end sheet metal is on the inner fenders (cars originally
equipped with wide-mouth aprons would have dimples to clear the
headlamp buckets, which were somewhat further back on the wide-mouth
apron).
