Stu,

If your 300ZX is fitted with a viscous fan clutch you may want to explore its
operation....my '94 Chevy Pickup howls occasionally when cold until the
viscous gel in the fan clutch warms up and starts to disengage the fan...not
sure from your message where the howling is coming from but it's another
source!
