Chuck,

I have a 72 Spitfire my fellow TCOC club members have named "Avis" for
me - as in the "we're #2 - we try harder" car rental company. Seems I was
always coming in 2nd in regional shows to the very Spit Andy has directed
you to as an example of a Signal Red car. My Spit was originally Pimento
(Code 72), but I decided to paint mine in a '71 Corvette color called "Mille
Miglia Red" - hey, it seemed appropriate! I have parked side by side with
the Signal Red Spitfire in the picture, and the color is VERY close! I
don't know the paint code off hand, but if you're interested, I can find out
what it is on Monday. You can also see some other pictures of Triumphs on
the "Gathering" page off the TCOC homepage at www.cris.com/~jamiep/ . There
is even a picture of my Mille Miglia Red Spit included - check it out!
