enlighten me please. Was this an ebay thing? TIA Don>>

eBay.com is an "online community trading service" ie; online auction
service...You list your item for approxiamately $2 and 2% of final sale price
and hope for the best. I have bought and sold on it recently (bought a TR4
Parts book and a TR4 toy model and sold a TR250 grill).

You have to pre-register -which is easy enough - unless you wait till you want
something and can't bid because you didnt sign up early enough!

You can do a 'search' by category or item and find the item (they have listed
100,000 things so far I believe-about 100 items under 'Triumph' category) to
bid on - like an auction and hope you get it for good price - I think the
grill I sold is worth double but am held to selling it to top bidder for
$205.50 by the eBay contract I agreed to as part of signing up.

It was easy to buy from eBay service but harder to sell from it. I had to
learn the eBay system, take photos of the grill (not mandatory), scan them,
get them to the site, do research on grill pricing, and now have to ship the
oversize grill. The good thing was - anyone in the world could bid on it - if
they knew it was there of course.

Another new site which I hope helps our Triumph lovers is called "All-Parts".
It is small right now but if it blossoms it could connect all the new and
existing 'new and used parts networks' globally to one site for our easy
access. Check it out and support them and it just may happen. (http://www.all-
parts.net)

Thanks to the internet, you all on the Triumph list, the new services like
eBay and All-Parts, you are all making it easier for me to restore my...
'64 TR4 since '74
