Hugh,
The six TR6 transmissions I've had apart all had needle bearings (either the
cage or sleeve-type). These were a '70, '74.5 , & 4x '75s. I believe the
bushing may have been a PO's attempt for a cure for an all too common and
chronic TR6 malady.
