I'm not 'putting the boot in' on this issue but perhaps something to bear
in mind? I've a sneaky feeling that there could be something in a Heritage
parts suppliers contract which prevents him trading "off territory" - i.e.
selling body shells from England to the US when there are Heritage
suppliers already in the US. I must stress this is not something of which
I'm specifically aware and I'm certainly not being protectionist for the US
supplier or BMIHT as a whole. I just think it's something people ought to
be aware of before 'savings' start taking on a whole new meaning. In any
case, the sheer logistics of moving a large lump of sheet metal might cost
more than the 'savings' themselves. I'd think very carefully before placing
the order in the UK and ringing up U-Haul for a trailer to cart it halfway
across North America.
