Thanks for the info, but I alternated the last two between Moss and TRF and
neither lasted, so the problem seems to be more pervasive than just one sup-
plier. My mechanic looked at the last couple he's put in and compared them to
a mangy old one he had around the shop - the old one had a relatively flat face
while the new ones seemed rounded. I'm considering putting that mangy old one
in ;-). Bottom line - if you have an old throwout bearing and it's working, DO
NOT REPLACE IT. I replaced one that was working OK when I had my tranny re-
built back in '96 and I've had problems ever since - I wish I'd kept the old
part.
