IMHO...

Alloys give the best ride and handling on virtually any car.

Wires are classic and great looking, but require the most maintenance
and care, along with the proper hub set up. I'm torn between chromed,
which look great, and the more understated retro look of painted wires.

Steel... well,  I don't do steel when I can avoid them, but they do look
"right" on some cars.
