The right way to use the list

I messed up this morning. An issue was brought up regarding a
prominent political issue, about which I have strong opinions. I
should not have replied to the list. To those of you with time
and bandwidth limitations, I will resist doing it again.

The idea of discussions on political issues is needed in society,
but not on this list. There are already complaints about message
volume. There are other forums for the non Triumph discussions.

I ask other list members to do what I will do myself. Before
asking a question, I will check the main web sites for an
answer. They have a wealth of information readily available for
common questions. If I don't find an answer, I'll ask the list.
When responding to a post, I'll CC the list where appropriate,
otherwise I'll respond only to the sender. I will also quote
only parts of the original message as needed.

This way the list can be used as intended.
