1971 TR6 Jasmine Yellow / New Tan int. Body and interior restored 5
years ago, still looks fresh (no scratches yet!). Original-type top in
good condition, boot cover and new tonneau included. New
weatherstriping, carpet, windscreen and seals.
116,000 miles on car, engine rebuilt at 95,000 miles with new clutch
too. Transmission and diff. seals recently replaced, new U-Joints.
Rear hubs inspected yearly, new front bearings. Spin-on oil filter,
clutch hydraulics rebuilt, new master cylinder at 105,000 miles, recent
brake work including s/s lines, new cylinders/shoes. New rebuilt
starter, alternator at 93,000 miles. 205/65 Tires in great shape.
Upgrades include Weber DGV Carbs, new K&N Filters, elect. fuel pump,
XR700 ignition, recent tune-up, Hayden Cooling fan w/thermostat relay.
Suspension rebuilt with polyurethane bushings, Konis in front and new
HD rebuilds in rear. Diff. also mounted in poly. bushings. Addco
swaybars front and rear, in polyurethane. New HD springs. New Kirk
Racing Prod. 2-pc. header with custom fabricated exhaust with super
turbo muffler.
Flaws include lack of originality, one lower pass. side dash crack (all
other dash trim in v.g.c.) One seam rip in driver's seat, will need
rebuilding at some point, pass. seat like new. Washer pump is not
working.
Have many parts to go with car including original lugg. rack.
Awards won include Best Triumph, Award of Excellence, many local
autocross trophies.
This TR6 is very reliable, fun and quick. I have owned it since 1986,
being the 3rd owner. Considering current restoration costs, the
condition, and the looks of this car, I believe it is reasonably priced
at $8,900.00.
