hello all
I've been monitoring the list for a few months now. I purchased
a 70 gt6 in april and after 4 months of work finally got the car on the road.
What a great feeling to have a LBC under me again.( I owned a 70 gt6 25 years
ago in Calif.) But to my dismay I discovered that as the engine warms up the
oil pressure drops drasticly down to about 8psi at idle and the engine starts
to rap. since the compression varies by about 25 psi between the high and low
cylinders i figure its time for a new engine.
Is there any place where i can purchase a full engine so i can get back
onthe road in the shortest time possible or would it be better to bite the
bullet and send my old engine out? I do think it would be nice to have a
second engine.
