You can get a vapor-lock of sorts during cold weather; because of heat
differences you get condensation in the fuel lines, which then proceeds to
freeze. This happened on the ol' propane school bus years ago- the fix
was to pull over and lift the access hatch (cab-over bus) and let the
hurri-hot heat up the fuel lines.
Not sure if this is a problem with gasoline engines, but it sure was a
pain in the propane!
