Ken,

The model you are looking for is called a Delctron SI, and was used on many GM
cars in the '70s and '80s.  If you explain to the counterman what you are
doing with it, he most likely can help you pick the right one.  This
alternator is the one most often used on hot rods and street rods, so the auto
parts store gets requests like this every day.  

You need to tell him what you want it for, rather than giving him a bogus car
model, so he can help you get the one best suited for your car.  They come in
several different amp ratings, with different pulleys, and have the terminals
located at different locations.  If the folks at your favorite auto parts
store are helpful, they will go back to the store room shelves and hunt for
one that best suits your application.

The location of the terminals is the least of your concerns, because the case
can be rotated till the terminals are where you want them.  Just loosen the
screws holding the case together and pull the halves slightly apart.  Rotate
the housing till you are satisfied and then reassemble ( the adjustment is not
infinite -- only as much as the screws will allow and still line up with the
holes in the case).
