Sumner,

Being in the process right now of refurbishing the heater on my own tr-3
sounds like an internal problem in the motor itself.

I have had great luck taking in all kinds of motors (electric) into "the
oldest" alternator  & starter rebuilder in the area. They all have a large
supply of stock and you might be suprised what an "old pro" can come up
with...."gee this looks like the bearing and brush set out of a '63
Kelvinator refrigerator and I have THOSE parts here somewhere......."

Give it a try, usually a quick 10 or 20 seems to make those parts lists and
labour charges get alot shorter.
