FWIW,

I've seen a GT6 Weber set up, and as Michael alluded to, the manifolds (
actually each carb has its' own manifold ) does dip down as you go to the
front of the engine.

A shop near here had a set hanging on the wall...Price?  $900.  Last time
I was there the set-up had been sold.
