I can do it in my '7, but with the side of my right foot on the edge of the
gas pedal, rather than the bottom of my heel on top of it. It's great when
you want to scream into a corner and go down 3 gears, using compression to
slow down, without easing up on the brakes. Of course, you have to
concentrate, so that your clutching is perfectly synchronised, or else. (And
then you have to deal with the corner, hopefully after you've finished
engaging 2nd...)

I haven't been on a racetrack, yet, so I don't know if I could keep it up
for very many turns (mega calf-muscle cramps - probably; blown transmission
- possibly.)
