TR6 Keys

Just curious, but I've read a lot about the unavailability of Triumph keys.
Does this just apply to the "older" models? I brought my 75 TR6 key to a
local locksmith and his reaction was "how many do you need?" He said they're
not readily available, but still available. The cost .... $2.50. I got one
and it works fine.
