I've got a '78 Spit and the crankcase is vented, and I had a little bit of
oil coming out of the dipstick tube also. The rubber bit at the top of the
dipstck was shot. I cleaned the dipstick well, made sure the tube was a
little oily, squirted a little RTV on the flange on the dipstick and stuck
it back in. My own homemade dipstick seal. If you are having a crankcase
pressure problem this won't help, but if it's just an annoying little bit
seeping past, well, this worked for me. It's not a factory part, but it's
not duct tape, either.
