Bosch Alternator upgrade

Is anybody familiar enough with both the TR6 and Spitfire alternator
installations to tell me if they are physically the same?  The VTR web
site lists the TR6 conversion but doesn't say anything about the Spit. 
The GM conversion also lists the TR6 and others but indicates the Spit
is still under construction. (I hope that isn't an indication of what I
am to expect).
