I'm buying a house here in North Raleigh. It doesn't have a garage.
When I get the garage built, I will buy a TR250. Since I'm taking on a
second mortgage and I want to minimize the impact on my retirement
funds, I am going to part with 76 TR6 I want it to go to a good home..
I bought the car in May of 1988 for $3500.00. I liked it because the
engine was strong. The body was solid with very little rust and though
the frame was slightly bent from an accident, it too, had no rust.
The original owner lived in Baltimore and commuted to DC to work. This
is where the miles were rolled up. It has 153,000. The second owner
was in insurnce and staring a family. He too kept it garaged while he
owned it. I've done nothing but improve this car. It has been garaged
since I bought it. The body is still great. The engine still strong
and I put a new interior in in the spring of 1995. It's delft (dark
blue) with a tan interior. The original interior was black, but it's my
car and the tan looks great. I added an electric fan, Crane electronic
ignition and stainless steel exhaust. Everything else is stock. It
needs nothing mechanically. I repainted it with 9 coats of laquer in
1989. It could use a new paint job. It has Michelin Redlines.
It was appraised at $8,000,00 with the hardtop. I'm looking for
$6,500.00.
