I'm not sure where I got this from (real useful right?) but I've read
that MMO acts as a surfactant when added to motor oil. It seems to be
pretty good at dissolving dirt....
Story time:
I have several friends with Italian cars (I don't know much about
their sexuality -- some folks seem to think they can judge this by
the nationality of a person's cars). Son has ALFA's, Dad has a couple
of Ferrari's. Dad's Daytona (really) came up really low on the
compression tester on two cyls one day.... he calls his favorite
mechanic, a very reputable guy from AC restorations in DC (now
defunct or merged with Grand Touring)...and he says put MMO in the
oil, in the gas and directly down the spark plug hole and run it for
20min or so....to make a long story short it
worked...probably just stuck rings....
I know this is second hand info -- but it isn't third hand... and
these folks don't put just any junk in their cars...they're kinda
snobby really...
