Sorry if this is old news, but I'm getting the digest and seem to be
woefully behind
on the current state of the thread...
I have found that, to open my TR6 bonnet, it sometimes helps to press down
on the
back edge of the bonnet with one hand while pulling on the hood release.
Pressing
down on the bonnet seems to remove a lot of the tension in the locking
mechanism.
I've noticed that this can make the difference between not getting the hood
open and
getting it open.
YMMV.
