Actually, you *can* use GL-4 in an OD tranny. That's what I've used in
my A-type OD for the past year. You do NOT want a GL-5, but then you
already knew that. :-)
Others have recommended motor oil (20W-50?) for an OD unit, and my
tranny had that in it initially. But I switched when I found the GL-4
at Pep Boys. YMMV...
