Sounds like a ditz on the phone to me.  TRF has a glovebox handbook/catalog 
that they give 
away free to people that buy thinsg from them, but will only send them to 
people that have 
made purchaes within the last 18 months.  For all the world, it sounds like the 
lady was 
confusing the regular parts catalog with her instructions on the glovebox 
handbook/catalog.  

I know I just got a parts catalog from them roughly a month ago.  Same way as 
your attempt, 
called them and asked for it.  I'd try calling again, and if you get the same 
woman, ask to 
speak to someone else.  In fact, you probably should speak to her supervisor as 
she is going 
to drive TRF out of business refusing to allow new customers to order parts.
