Oh Great Trivia Masters,
A while back someone was collecting engine/head numbers. While hanging
around in the garage last night I finally remembered to write mine down. I
have 2 GT6 engines one is the original and the other a spare I bought back
in 76 from a totaled 72 model.
engine # KF125 HE
Numbers on head from rear to front V3119, 0180, 308351, 180 5,
The 180 numbers appear to be cast in from a removable plug as you can see
the screw head shapes duplicated in the casting.
On engine number 2
engine #KF10782 UE
Numbers on head from rear to front V3267, 147, 312388
By this time the cast in screw heads are gone and the numbers are much
cleaner.
I believe the HE engine is a hi compression model and the UE a low
compression version. Any thoughts.
