fellow triumph enthusiasts:
having replaced the rear spring and decided the brakes and steering are
roadworthy on the spit for the short term, i fired it up and took a little
spin aound the neighborhood (first time since i bought it)
interesting that what i assumed a previous owner had installed as the
manual choke cable to go with the weber he/she installed was frozen, i got
it started by pumping a lot until it warmed up- i followed the cable to the
carbeuretor, it attaches to a lever at the *base* (i.e., manifold side of
the carb beyond the throttles)- i'm used to seeing choke butterflies
*outboard* from the throttles- i opened the throttles to see if there is
some sort of butterfly/slide and i can't see anything move when i move the
lever- is this the choke and how does it work? is there anyone reading this
with a single weber setup and who would be willing to get a bunch of
questions about the distributor setup that works best with weber?
