Valves are what you put in old radios and car engines,
tubes are what you get underground in London.
I would be pleased to help, I have a selection of Radio servicing books
spanning the fifties and sixties, I will require the exact model number,
as Pye made quite a fews car radios and the model numbers vary .
For example some pre-1955 tyoes were N06M N96M P58CR P59CR to name but 4.
If all else fails send me a list of the valve (oh, alright, tube) types,
these are usually on the side of the "bottles", also try looking for a
date on the capacitors, (the large cylinder objects) if it looks original
this could give an accurate year of manufacture.
Rusty radios seem to go well with rusty cars :)
