Yup, it works really well and seems to be very well made.

Probably. It takes a fair bit of force to get the hubs
off, so you'll want to use a large bolt to get enough
strength in the threads. The TSSC remover uses a cup-
shaped piece of steel to fit over the end of the axle
to prevent it from getting mushroomed during removal.
You might want to make up something similar.
