Help! I am hoping someone can give me some advice. I am really new to this
but am looking for a TR3 and have come across a '59 in fairly good shape. I
has new painted wires and tires, older paint, new seats, new vinyl interior,
redone guages and new grill. The top and side curtains are in rough shape
and the engine, although running, has had very little work done on it. I
have not had a compression test done. There is no rust now but it looks
like it has had some sheet metal work done on it as the floorboards are flat
and fairly thin. It shows 26,000 miles which the owner says are original
but the fact the interior was redone and the top and side curtains are rough
would indicate a lot more miles. Should I be cautious or just go for it?? I
am confused as to what would be a fair price (Canadian $) for it! Does the
fact that it has sheet metal devalue the price?

Thanks for your advice,

Keith
